Due to Malaysian government's desire to lift financial burden and to increase postgraduate research students to improve our local public universities' world rankings, the number of undergraduates admitted to IPTA has dropped drastically for the past few years, shifting a big portion of the responsibilty in educating undergraduate to private universities and colleges in the country.
