20% Increase for Vocational Students Intake This Year

Bernama: The Education Ministry is transforming vocational education in the country by expanding its physical facilities to accommodate an increase of 20 per cent more students this year. Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said it was aimed at meeting the trained manpower needs in various industries which required skilled workers. He said the reception by students was overwhelming as about 126,000 students applied for places in vocational institutions last year when there were only 20,000 places available. Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was aware of the situation and agreed that the government devoted more attention to establish more vocational facilities to meet demand from youths. Good news from the Ministry of Education Malaysia to those aiming to study at vocational institutions.

Ministry of Education: Teacher Who Forced Students to Act Like Cows Transferred Immediately

The verdict is out, the English  teacher at SJKC Khai Meng who forced two students to wear bells and act like cows ( lembu )  to eat grass has received official warning letter from Ministry of Education calling his act excessive and transferring him to another school effective immediately. One thing strange was why this teacher's name was not published in the press whereas the names of the kids (victims) and their parents were. Why did the press conspire to hide the name of the teacher who has been found guilty but instead published the names of the victims? Poor kids who failed to complete their schoolwork are now traumatised and scared to attend schools because of the act of this irresponsible teacher.
