Malaysia, Taiwan Recognize Each Other's University Degrees

Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) will recognize the degrees issued by Taiwan's 157 universities and colleges, while Taipei's Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) will recognize the degrees issued by 121 Malaysian universities and colleges.

Deputy Minister of Ministry Higher Education Dato Dr. Hou Kok Chung said that of the 121 university and college degrees recognised by HEEACT, 19 are Malaysia public universities (IPTA), 28 private universities (IPTS), 15 private university colleges, 3 recognized higher education institutions and 56 colleges providing twinning programmes. And total recognised degree courses are 1875
This is by far the best news for students currently studying at Malaysia Chinese Independent Schools where majority of the students are mostly planning to further studies at Taiwan.
