CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
The aim of the Sime Darby Young Innovators Challenge is to encourage youths to collaborate and discover actionable solutions to make our world a better place.

Challenge Statements
Describe how you would tackle one of the challenge statements listed below.
People
How can we assist the homeless and transition them back into the workforce and society?
There are thousands homeless in Malaysia. Contrary to what we believe, less than a tenth are drug addicts and criminals. This means most are harshly judged, making it more difficult for them to find jobs and creating a vicious cycle of homelessness.

Planet
How can the basic needs of people be met without harming the environment?
“In 2007, the most recent year for which data are available, humanity used
the equivalent of 1.5 planets to support its activities” - WWF.

There is a pressing need for conservation and development to co-exist as our consumption demands today are putting a strain on the earth.

Prosperity
How can organisations and communities work together to address poverty for mutual benefit?
One in eight people go to bed hungry at night in Asia and the Pacific region. Households earning below the poverty line live without the certainty of where their next meal will come from, let alone basic education, health and a roof over their heads.
