Peratusan pelajar perempuan berbanding pelajar lelaki di IPTA / Facebook Have been seeing this picture shared in Facebook but was unable to trace down the original source of this picture to verify the date of the data. Nonetheless, this is an interesting chart. We all know there are more girls make it to the universities but have never seen such nice chart detailing the percentage at (almost) all public universities.

Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Japanese Studies & Teacher Training

Bernama: Malaysians who are interested to pursue Japanese studies and teacher training there can apply for the Japan Government Sponsorship which is now open until March 11. According to a statement from the Embassy of Japan here, the scholarship for the one-year non-degree course in Japanese studies is offered to second and third-year undergraduates in local universities, specialising in Japanese language or culture. The applicant must be between 18 and 29 years old on April 1 2014, (born between April 2, 1984 and April 1, 1996) and fluent in Japanese language. Meanwhile, the scholarship for the 18-month non-degree course for teacher training is open to university or teaching college students with at least five years' experience in primary or secondary schools, or academic staff in any teaching colleges. EPF Declares 6.35% Dividend For 2013, Record Gross Income of RM35 Billion

EPF: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board , with the approval of the Minister of Finance, today declared a dividend rate of 6.35 per cent for the financial year ending 31 December 2013, representing the biggest ever dividend payout of RM31.20 billion to its members, up 13.66 per cent over the RM27.45 billion paid in 2012. It is worth mentioning that since the 2008 global financial crisis, the EPF has declared compounded dividends of more than RM120 billion for its members. 2013 STAM Exam Results

Bernama: A total of 3,513 candidates or 60.4 per cent passed in all 10 subjects with at least the Maqbul (Pass) in the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) last year, a 7.1 per cent decrease compared to the previous year. Education director-general Datuk Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof said 369 candidates secured the Mumtaz (Excellent) in the examination last year, fell by 0.3 per cent from the previous year. He said the number of candidates who obtained the Jayyid Jiddan grade (Very Good), Jayyid (Good) and Maqbul (Pass) had also declined compared to the previous year. While the percentage drop for the Mumtaz was the lowest, the Jayyid Jidan posted the largest percentage dip at 3 per cent (173 candidates), the Jayyid decreased by 2.5 per cent (149 candidates) and the Maqbul reduced by 1.3 per cent (76 candidates), he said when announcing the 2013 STAM results in PUtrajaya, Thursday. Khair said overall, the 2013 STAM achievement declined by 0.12 points from National Average Grade (GPN) of
