Malaysian schools will open a week later by January 11 in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu while it is January 12 for all other states due to the worst floods to hit the country.[...]Yay, one more week of relaxing school holidays!
He said the postponement was also to allow teachers, parents and students who were affected by floods to recover and prepare for school.
"If the situation is resolved early, then the school management should use this period to clean up the affected schools to ensure that our children can learn in a safe, comfortable environment," he said.
