UM Graduate Studies Fair: Karnival Jom Masuk UM (Updated: Change in Venue)

Please be informed that there is a CHANGE IN VENUE for the Karnival Jom Masuk UM 2014. It will now be held at Perdanasiswa Complex, UM. The details are as follows:-

Date: 18 – 19 APRIL 2014 (FRIDAY & SATURDAY)
Time: 9.00 a.m – 5.30 p.m
Venue: PERDANASISWA COMPLEX, UNIVERSITY OF MALAYA

The two-day carnival which will be from 9.00a.m until 5.30p.m includes scheduled briefing sessions by each faculty, education exhibition and consultation at the respective faculty booths.

Information on scholarship opportunities provided by the university and other participating bodies will also be provided during the carnival. Special booths will be set up by PTPTN, MARA and the Scholarship Division, Ministry of Education.

To date, UM has about 12,000 postgradute candidates including approximately 3,000 international candidates from more than 80 countries. By 2020, the total enrolment is expected to reach 20,000 students with postgraduate to undergraduate ratio being 2:1 and this carnival will act as a catalyst to realise that figure.

Those who are really interested may apply for admission on the spot and will be given 50% discount on the processing fees. Applicants who are ready to apply are required to bring all necessary documents which include MyKad (for Malaysians)/passport (for international), a passport sized photograph, Masters and/or Bachelors degree certificate(s), academic transcripts, proof of relevant working experience and publications as well as research proposals (for research candidates only).
